Sunday Morning Studies
Each Sunday morning from 10:00 - 10:50 am there are several options for adults to join in small groups. Classes include discussion based Bible studies, parenting groups, and many other formats including short-term studies. Join us on Sundays and inquire about options with any member. The Millard Bailey Class
Meets in room 49 upstairs beside the elevator.
This is a multi-generational class with members ranging in age from 30's to 60's. The class studies Bible based books, relating themes to their lives and to the teachings of the Bible. The class is currently studying Revelations. The class feeds the Homless Shleter residents once a month and adopts a family at Christmas.
The Langill Watson Class
Meets in room 43 upstairs across from the elevator.
This class has been in existence for more than 30 years and is made up of members ranging in age from 45 years to 80 years. The class includes married couples, singles, wives without husbands, and husbands without wives. The class does special mission projects at Christmas.
The New Horizons Class
Meets downstairs in the Parlor at the end of the preschool hall.
This class is made up of men and women of all ages who consider themselves a family that is always looking for new family members. This class uses the Bible as the primary source for instruction along with various Bible commentaries.
The John and Susannah Wesley Bible Class
Meets in room 42 upstairs.
This is a class of senior citizens that uses the International Adult Bible Studies series from Cokesbury. The lecture style class averages 13-17 members who are involved in overall church activities.
The William Whitehead Class
Meets upstairs in room 39.
This class is made up of men and women who range in age from 60 to 92 year. The members of this class study the International Adult Bible Studies series. The class mission is to "Praise God everyday for His mercy and for the gift of his Son. Strengthen and grow in faith through serious Bible study, prayer, music and song. Share our joys and sorrows, our concerns and our hopes. Love each other as unconditionally as the Lord has loved us. Be an integral part of this church and this community by giving of the gifts God has given us. Share our faith with others by word and by example."
Video-Based Studies
Meets in Room 38 upstairs.
This is a multi-age group that uses various video series relating to the Christian Faith to guide their class and discussion. Past studies include the Andy Griffith Show Series and Raising Rock Solid Kids in a Pleasure Driven World.
