Family Retreat to Camp Don Lee ~ October 1-3
Looking for a great way to spend some quality time with family and friends??? Want to get away from the rush of back-to-school??? Need some time to slow down, relax, and just have fun??? Then this is the retreat for you and your family!!! Camp Don Lee is located in one of the most beautiful spots on the Neuse River and offers canoeing, sailing, archery, swimming (if warm enough), games, arts & crafts, nature hunt, and much, much more!!!
We'll leave FUMC around 5pm on Friday and return around 4pm on Sunday. We'll travel together in the church vans. The cost of the trip is around $50.00 per person. Scholarship funds will be available and we're hoping to have a fundraiser of some sort to try to cut the cost of this trip as much as possible. If you're interested, please let me know. If money is holding you back, please let me know and we'll see what we can work out.

Stewarship Sunday 2010 ~ September 26
Join us on this special day as we kick off our Stewardship program.
“Now as you excel in everything-in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in upmost earnestness, in our love for you-so we want you to excel also in this generous undertaking.” -2 Corinthians 8:7
Annual Fish Fry ~ Friday, October 8 ~ Lunch 11:30-1:30 and Dinner 5-7 pm
Volunteers needed for kitchen (contact Suzanne Dempsey or Lucy Hinson), fish cooking (contact John Nicholson) and bake sale (contact Cathy Berry or Melissa Bynum). There are several other fundraisers that day, so we need to get out early and sell tickets. Tickets will be $6.00 and available before Sunday School and church each Sunday beginning August 29.
