Food Distribution Ministry
FOOD MINISTRY
First United Methodist Church's Food Distribution Ministry is a ministry to those in need in our local community. In May, we distributed 42 bags of food to grateful families. On the first Sunday of each month, bags with a list of foods to be purchased attached, are provided to the congregation to be filled and returned to the church. The filled bags are then distributed each Tuesday between 1:30 and 2:30 p.m.
Below is a list of the foods that are included in the bags. If you wish, you may use your own brown paper bag, fill it and bring it to the church office. You may also make a financial contribution by writing a check to FUMC and noting Food Ministry on the memo line.
Volunteers to help with the distribution are always welcome. Call the church office to volunteer your time.
Please pray for those who are receiving your bag of food.

Canned chicken, tuna, etc.
Peanut butter
Box of Crackers
4 cans green vegetables
4 cans fruit
Breakfast foods, poptarts, breakfast bars, cereal, etc.
Please buy pop top cans if possible
